About Contest

‘’Swachh School Awards’’ envisaged by Jubilant Foodworks is a campaign to recognize, inspire and celebrate excellence related to cleanliness, sanitation & hygiene practices in public and private schools within Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. Based on a 360 degree platform and criteria, schools shall be awarded for significant steps taken in awareness & education on cleanliness, sanitation, solid waste management, energy conservation, behavior change and capacity building.

The contest covers good practices across categories like:
Awareness & education on cleanliness
Community engagement for betterment of environment
Cleanliness infrastructure
Waste management
Sanitation & hygiene

Campaign Objective

With an ambition to be ‘the most loved company in the community on social contribution’, Jubilant Foodworks aims to bring together all its direct stakeholders and engage them to support the national agenda of “Be the Change” resulting as an attempt to bring about a behavioral change and create awareness on Clean India. ‘Be the Change’ campaign has so far engaged community areas such as local market places, streets, hospitals, railway stations, bus stands, resident welfare associations, historical places and parks. Swachh School Awards campaign strengthens the overall mission by encompassing public and private schools, thereby increasing efforts related to Swachhta.

Eligibility

Swachh School Awards is open to all public and private schools.
Schools located within administrative boundaries of following Municipal Corporation are eligible to participate in this contest.
Mumbai Metropolitan Region
North Delhi Municipal Corporation
South Delhi Municipal Corporation
East Delhi Municipal Corporation
New Okhla Industrial Development Authority – NOIDA
Nagar Nigam Ghaziabad
Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike

How to Participate

Step 1: Register your school entry. Click here to Register.
Step 2: Answer Part 1 questionnaire. This part contains 33 objective questions. All questions are compulsory to answer.
Step 3: Answer Part 2 questionnaire. This part contains 4 descriptive questions. All questions are compulsory to answer.
Step 4: Upload as many relevant documents/photos supporting initiatives undertaken the school on the theme of the contest
Step 5: Submit your final entry.

Note:
To be eligible for the contest the school has to submit (upload) school’s U-DISE Code Certificate or a letter head mentioning U-DISE code.
Answering all the questions is mandatory.
The responses can be saved/edited/completed at any time before final submission.
All entries should be submitted before last date of contest.
Entries submitted post the final date will be disqualified.

Selection Process

Step 1: The entries will be shortlisted based on responses given for Part 1 and Part 2 of the contest.
Step 2: Shortlisted entries will be selected for physical audit by our Knowledge Partner United Way Mumbai.
Step 3: A comprehensive physical audit will be conducted by the Knowledge Partner or agency appointed by the Knowledge Partner to validate the responses of shortlisted schools.
Step 4: The final winner amongst the audited schools will be decided on the basis physical audits.

3. How do I participate in Swachh School Awards?

4. Is there an entry fee?
No. there is no entry fee.

5. Who from a school can apply for the award?
School Principal/Headmaster/Headmistress can apply or any teacher/office staff authorized by School Head/Principal can apply for the contest. Trustees/Board Members of the school can also apply.
Applications from Parents, students and any person who is not a part of school administration will be not be considered.

6. What is the selection criteria?
Step 1: The entries will be shortlisted based on responses given for Part 1 and Part 2 of the contest.

7. I have already submitted by entry but I now want to edit my answers?
Answers can be edited only before final submission by using ‘SAVE’ option. This can be performed for multiple times. However, once submitted answers cannot be edited.

8. What if in one building premise there are more than one school in with separate registration. Can all schools participate separately for the contest?
Yes, as long as the school U-DISE registration number is unique for each school, then multiple schools located in same premise can participate separately for the contest.

9. When will the shortlisted schools be announced for physical audit?
The shortlisted schools will be contacted by the Knowledge Partner United Way Mumbai after the end of the contest and all submission are received from schools by 28th May 2017.

10. When will the winners be announced?
The winners will be announced latest by May 31, 2016. The Jury will review and announce the final winners. The decision of the Jury will be final and binding.

11. What will the winning School get as prize?
The Prize Money for all the award will be awarded to the school to be utilized for school infrastructure and maintenance projects for promotion in of cleanliness, greenery and sanitation only.
The Contest prize comprise of:
Gold Prize
The winning school of the contest across three contested cities Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore will be awarded Gold Award Prize Money of Rs. 3 Lacs.
Silver Prize
First runner up school of the contest across three contested cities Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore will be awarded Silver Award Prize Money of Rs. 1.5 Lacs.
Bronze Price
Second runner up school of the contest across three contested cities Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore will be awarded Bronze Award Prize Money of Rs. 75 Thousand.
Consolation Prizes
Consolation Prizes will be given to two schools from each contested cities Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. Consolation Prizes will be in form of Certificate and Trophy.
Winner will receive award in the form of support for school infrastructure for promotion of cleanliness and sanitation. This support will be equivalent to the prize money for each category.
Project will be implemented through a partner agency recommended by Jubilant Foodwork Limited.
